Muddy River Distillery

Welcome to Belmont, NC, home of Muddy River Distillery.  Located on the picturesque Catawba River....

A small distillery along the banks of the river, Muddy River is the only rum distillery in the state of North Carolina...

 Started in 2012 with a single, small distiller...

Now in 2015, they are hand bottling around 600 bottles a day with these two distillers running almost 24/7....

Each bottle is hand labeled...

 And of course, no tour would be complete without a taste test...

All their products are very good, but the Queen Charlotte's Reserve is one of the smoothest rums I have ever tasted...
