Carnival Pride

The beautiful Carnival Pride.  She is a Spirit Class ship, 88,500 tons, with a crew of 930 and a passenger capacity of 2124.  Enjoy this tour through her halls and decks!

The first thing you notice upon boarding is her magnificent atrium.  Spanning several decks, the purple hue is cast by the red glass topped funnel on the Spirit class ships.  The ship has a Renaissance theme to it's artwork and nowhere is that more obvious than the atrium wall....

The lobby bar, where you will have daily musicians playing....

Lobby bar with Pixels photo gallery on deck 3.  This is where you decide on the numerous photos that have been taken of you by the photography staff while on board.  It spans both port and starboard sides of the ship...

Spirit class ships have one main dining room, in this case, the Normandie. Located on decks 2 and 3, aft.

Of course, for a more elegant and upscale dinner you have David's steakhouse. Like the upscale steakhouses on land at a fraction of the cost...

The glass stair case leading to David's from deck 9....

We had the surf and turf (Maine lobster with filet mignon) and the NY Strip...

And the desserts, 4" high cheesecake and the apple pastry with caramel sauce...

The main show lounge is called the Taj Mahal and it is located on decks 2, 3 and 4, forward....

The entry ways are quite ornate and the ceiling of the entry way is spectacular....

If one goes hungry on a cruise, they should probably check their pulse! Numerous places to grab everything from a quick snack to a full meal....

24 hour a day pizza, ice cream and room service....

Numerous other options around the ship.  By the main pool you have the famous Guy Fieri burgers and the Blue Iguana Cantina...

You'll find sushi on deck 3, midship....

The main Lido dining area aft is called Mermaids and there are several yummy options there....

The ceiling in Mermaids...

Various Mermaids dining options...this is but a fraction...

No cruise would be complete without a buffet devoted entirely to chocolate....

Now that you've had all that yummy food, time to work it off.  The gym and spa are located on deck 9, forward.  Not coincidentally, this is the same deck where the food is, lol!

Now that you've filled your tummies and worked it all off, time to go get your winning on in the casino (lol, I jest!)....

Not doing so well in the casino?  You can always catch a game in the sport's bar...

There are numerous places around the ship to get your drink on, including the most fun, the Alchemy Bar....

The Blue Iguana Tequila Bar.  I visited this one a few times during the cruise ;)

The Red Frog Rum Bar......

The Red Frog Pub.  Note, this location does not have the pub food like the Dream class ships do :(

And of course, the Serenity Bar, because what is more serene than a beverage in your hand and this....

The view out the clam shell :)

The comedy club is held in Butterflies lounge, deck 2, forward.  I'm partial to this one ;) (my name translates to butterfly in Greek :) )

Some of the amazing art and glass work that adorns each deck...

Various sites around the ship, yes, there is even a library :)

Sunset Garden, deck 3, forward....
